Almost got you didn’t I? Good thing its April Fools!

In all seriousness I wanted to let you in on some plans for my future.  Things that the Lord has told me and directions I think He wants me to in.

In a few months I will be continuing my CGA education and taking classes on leadership and my calling.

Part of the reason for me even pursing CGA in the first place was to be in a place where I could discern what my passions are and where the Lord wanted me to go in my next season.  I knew that CGA would be a place where I was free to delve deeper into my identity and discover my calling.  So far I have seen such growth in being confident in who God has made me to be and have received clarity of what He wants for me in the future.

So after CGA is over I will take the next big step in my life.

In the fall my hope is to become a Squad Leader for the World Race.  I will lead a group of around 40 people through the first 5 months of the Race.  I am so excited to be able to disciple and walk through life with them and see them receive the transformation in faith that I did while on the Race.

After working in Student Ministry I have found that I’m pretty passionate about coming along side people in their life and helping them discover more of who they are in the Lord.  Its so rewarding to see people I care about and have discipled fall deeper in love with Jesus.  I love seeing the light go on in their eyes when something God has told them finally clicks or when they see freedom from something they have been struggling with.  The Lord has called me to do this in the capacity of Squad Leading.

So I am really excited to grow in my leadership skills and learn how to ask questions that lead to growth in someone else.  I want to walk in the authority of the leadership that has been given to me and be an influencer for people to live more like Jesus.

As for after that?  I will wait with open hands for whatever the Lord has for me.
